Chronic pain can sometimes be the result of tension in the muscles. Massage is a good was to loosen those muscles. Hot stones are a highly effective tool for warming the tissue and allowing for better work.
I'm Traci, and I've been a licensed Massage Therapist since 2012. Most massage therapists massage how THEY would like to be massaged, therefore I work towards the most effective work on the muscles with the least amount of pain the next day. I call it Gentle Persuasion. Warming up the muscles and listening to them is the best way to not only treat them in the short term, but also the long term. I personally suffer from headaches and low back/upper glute pain. Therefore I look for the same areas of pain on my clients to offer as much relief of pain as possible.
I've worked in high stress, high volume spas for most of my career, so now that I'm in my own office, my goal is to slow down and take my time with each client. No two clients are the same, therefore not all treatments are the same. But each client is important.
As much as I'd like to be able to answer as many questions about me and/or my business as possible, sometimes I'm unavailable. To that end, here are the most frequently asked questions.
Q: I called but didn't get an answer, how can I book an appointment?
I'm sorry to say that since I spend a lot of time in session and
therefore away from my phone, I can't guarantee that I can answer all
the calls. The best way to reach me is to text (804-464-3524), email (email@example.com
), or through the booking site (https://www.massagebook.com/profiles/publicBooking/8765957?src=external
Q: What are the stones that you use?
They are Himalayan Salt stones. As well as warming up the tissue to
allow for a more effective massage, the salt helps with certain types of
inflammation and can help rejuvenate the body.
Q: Do you perform deep tissue massage?
A: No, I do not perform deep pressure massage, but I do work on deeper tissues. I use the stones to loosened the superficial layers of muscle to get to the deeper ones without needing as much pressure and without you feeling sore the next day.
Q: Can I book a couple's massage?
A: Sadly no. I'm a therapist with only one table. I can schedule the appointments back to back, not can not at the same time.
Q: What time is your latest appointment?
Q: Do you perform prenatal or minor massages?
A: Unfortunately no.
Q: I can't find your office. Where are you located?
The address is accessible through Google Maps under Hot Stone Healing,
North Chesterfield. In addition, there are detailed directions in the
reminder email sent a few days before the appointments.
Q: My Groupon/Living Social voucher has expired. Will you still honor it?
A: Absolutely. The amount that you paid for the voucher now becomes the same as a gift card. That will never expire. The only thing you have to pay is the difference between the amount you paid and the price of the service. Let the Past You treat the Present You haha.
Q: Do you have gift cards?
